Leicester North Station |

| The Great Central Railway is the UK's
only double track mainline heritage railway. |
| Its southern terminus is on the northern
outskirts of Leicester at Birstal where a new |
| station was built in the 1980s. The
building was erected in the late 1990s and as funds |
| permit is being developed in the style of
a Great Central Railway station. In 2008 |
| Able Engineering won the contract to
fabricate and erect the station canopy support |
| steelwork. Site erection commenced
on the 5th January 2009 and required three days. |
| The Great Central Railway provided craneage and slinging. |
